Campo Imperatore is about 2,130 metres above sea level and can be reached by cable car from Assergi – Fonte Cerreto: an ideal destination for spending a weekend in the snow in the name of sport. The numerous ski slopes and cross-country skiing trails dominate the summit of the Gran Sasso. From the Breaking Hotel it takes just over an hour by car to reach the slopes. Not bad, is it?
